For ten days the Mineola Junior Fire Department hosted a Junior Fire department from Germany. The FF-Stellingen Jugendfeuerwehr visited the USA for the second time in 3 years with a new group of German Junior firefighters. While here they visited Washington DC,New York City,and the local sites of Long Island with the members of the Mineola Junior Fire Department. Next to the last day of their visit a farewell party was held in their honor where a number of gifts and certificate presented to our friends. Next year the Mineola Junior Fire Department will be visiting Germany to complete the 2nd cultural exchange of the two junior fire departments.
